α-(Methylamino)isobutyric acid (MeAIB) 是中性氨基酸转运 A 系统的竞争性抑制剂，是 N-甲基化底物。它能够降低在星形胶质细胞顶部发育的海马神经元中的微型兴奋性突触后电流 (mEPSC) 的幅度。 MeAIB 可以阻断丙氨酸-脯氨酸 (AP) 途径。
