1,3-二溴苯用于 Suzuki 偶联反应制备 [n] 间环芳烃。它用于以 Pd(0) (PPh3)4 作为试剂制备 5-(3-溴-苯基)-2,4-二叔丁氧基-嘧啶。再与苯基硼酸进行固载氟化钾-氧化铝钯催化的多芳基化反应，得到共轭多芳基化合物。
