1,1,1-Trifluoromethanesulfonic Acid Tris(1-methylethyl)silyl Ester is used in the synthesis of potent BRAF kinase inhibitors used in the therapeutic treatment of melanoma. Also used in the synthesis of antitumor antibiotic (+)-FR900482.
