2-Methoxy-4-nitro-5-methylaniline is used as a reagent to synthesize 5- and 6-methoxybenzimidazole-1,3,5-triazines, compounds that act as inhibitors of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) that have the potential to treat cancer.
