描述

氮化硅 (IV) 在汽车工业中用作柴油发动机和电热塞等发动机部件的材料。它用于摇臂垫，以降低火花点火发动机的磨损。由氮化硅 (IV) 制成的陶瓷具有良好的抗震性。同样，由此制成的轴承也可用于美国宇航局航天飞机的主发动机。它充当绝缘体，用于制造集成电路。
